JEREMY SMITH was a kind, bright, and energetic spirit, inspiring those around him, especially in the field of Architecture. He earned his Bachelors of Architecture from Southern Polytechnic State University in 2008, where his final senior thesis on the Fulton County Headquarters Library won all three SPSU Architecture Thesis Competition Awards in 2008. He continued his journey in the architectural field by interning at HOK Atlanta and beginning his licensing examination. He was an active member of the AIA as well as the Young Architects Forum.

The JEREMY SMITH ENDOWED ARCHITECTURE SCHOLARSHIP FUND is dedicated in his honor, to remember his passion for architecture and celebrate his talent, curiosity, and sense of adventure.

Since 1956, the American Institute of Architecture Students has been the voice of students to the educations system and the profession of architecture and design in North America and beyond. The association helps to build interest and enrich the educational experience of students (of all ages) and others in architecture and design.

Moreover, the AIAS Chapter at Kennesaw State University also actively participates with on-campus architectural events, such as the annual KSU Architecture Student Charette, and other o -campus endeavors, such as CANstruction Atlanta, Habitat for Humanity, AIA Academic Mentorship Programs, and many more.

The Jeremy Smith Scholarship Fund Napkin Sketch Gallery Auction is hosted by the American Institute of Architecture Students at Kennesaw State University. All proceeds from the event benefit AIAS and the Jeremy Smith Scholarship Fund.

Jeremy Smith was a former student at Southern Polytechnic State University (before it became Kennesaw State University). His memory lives on in this event and the scholarship fund which bears his name.

Donated cocktail napkin sketches created by famous and local architects, professionals, and architecture students are featured through a silent auction. We encourage fun, mingling, and networking at this memorable yearly event.
